Early voting is just weeks away—in person voting begins on Valentine’s Day. 

To help voters of HD 92 and HD 94 decide which candidate has earned their vote, we are hosting a candidate forum, Thursday, January 27, at 7pm, at the East Arlington Library and Recreation Center, 1817 New York Ave, Arlington, TX 76010.

Candidates for HD 92 Salman Bhojani, Tracy Scott, and Dinesh Sharma will participate and uncontested candidate for HD 94 Dennis Sherrard will open the forum. 

This forum is free for MCD members. Not a member? Click here to join for just $5 a month, or just $2 a month for seniors, or free for students!

Non-members can still attend for $20 that helps us cover venue rental, food and drink.

All event proceeds will be donated to the winner of the HD 92 Democratic Primary.

If you’re unvaccinated, please join us via Facebook Live on the night of the forum. Doors open at 6:30pm for socializing and candidate engagement. Bring a mask and bring a friend!

Join new and old friends for our annual holiday party.

We’ll celebrate what we have accomplished this year and look ahead to the Democratic Primaries and General Election to save our democracy, flip local seats, and put more Democrats in office. When Democrats are elected, the people win!

2022 sustaining membership dues of $5 each month or $2 for students and retirees will also be gratefully accepted. 

Due to the holidays, we will not meet on our regularly scheduled 4th Thursdays in November and December. Our in-person meeting will require proof of vaccination and masks to keep our candidates, community, and members safe.

New redistricting maps are out and Democratic candidates are gearing up for the 2022 Democratic Primary. At our regular October meeting, we’ll hear from candidates running for the Texas Legislature, including Dennis Sherrard and Tracy Scott.

Plus, we’ll talk about the national spotlight on racism and the Holocaust in Southlake, and specifically the special election for the Carroll Independent School District.

And we’ll hear an update directly from plaintiffs in the HEB ISD and GCISD federal class action lawsuit on masking.

Our in-person meeting will require proof of vaccination and masks to keep our candidates, community, and members safe. The meeting with be streamed via Facebook Live.

Redistricting hearings have begun in both the Texas House and Senate and will continue through this Saturday, September 18 (click here for full schedule). These hearings are a very important tool for citizens to ensure that their areas and interests are considered when redrawing the districts for Congress, state legislature, and State Board of Education. 

Both chambers are allowing virtual testimony.
