Candidate filing for local elections is complete and some of our neighbors are running for office in May!

Decisions made in the next few weeks will shape what’s on the agenda in our school board and city council meetings for years to come.

Make plans to attend our February 27 and March 27 meetings to hear from good folks running to represent YOU and spend YOUR tax dollars wisely. 

This month, we will hear from Matt Foust for GCISD and his campaign manager Brody Mulligan on the Tea Party/ MAGA takeover of local schools that have teachers leaving in droves. We’ll hear about public school finance, and supporting students and educators at this important meeting. 

No matter what Mid-Cities city you call home, you can help elect the best candidates for office here in Northeast Tarrant County!

A New Year means new possibilities and new opportunities for progressives, Democrats, Independents, and even common sense Republicans to win elections at the local level in area cities and independent school districts. 

Outside of our region, the new Texas Legislature was sworn in this week in Austin and a corrupt convicted felon will be sworn in as president next week in DC.

November 2024 may be our last election. Join us as we write postcards to our neighbors asking them to vote Democratic for our freedoms and our futures—the freedom to choose our leaders, to control our own bodies and futures, and to work and live in communities safe from crime and pollution.

Help us focus our voters on the economy, our freedoms, and democracy, while the well-funded disinformation and anger machine works overtime to shape the narrative of this general election with racist ‘invasion’ and ‘poisoned blood’ language.
