September 2016 Meeting and Terry Meza Phone Bank

ClintonYardSigns

It’s an election year, friends!

Come get your Texans for Clinton/Kaine yard signs! (We ask for $5 per sign to cover our costs, and raise club funds.)

We’ll have a short business meeting and get to work calling HD 105 voters for State Representative candidate Terry Meza.

Last month we made more than 400 calls!

Terry is in a very competitive district and her opponent is an extremist incumbent. What a difference a Democrat will make to HD 105!

Bring a charged cell phone and a friend! See you at Los Jims!

It’s time for our Adopt-a-Highway cleanup along Colleyville Boulevard/Grapevine Highway.

We’ll gather upstairs at Market Street for coffee, split into teams and head out.

June 2016 General Meeting

When the leadership of the Texas Legislature focuses on pandering to a fringe base, vulnerable Texans are left behind. Texas taxpayers have already contributed to Medicaid expansion in other states through our federal taxes. Refusing $6B annually costs a lot — that’s $222 each year from every Texan.

The recent 15-month Medicaid waiver isn’t enough. It’s time for Texas to have its turn with full, expanded Medicaid. Otherwise, we pay twice.

Join fellow Mid-Cities Democrats on Thursday, June 30th. We’ll have a short business meeting and get to work writing letters to our state representative, state senator and Letters to the Editor. Mid-Cities Democrats board member and communications consultant Kathleen Thompson will lead our workshop.
