Candidate for Railroad Commissioner Addresses Mid-Cities Democrats

Tonights meeting of the Mid-Cities Democrats featured the Democratic candidate for Railroad Commissioner, Jeff Weems.  The Fort Worth Star-Telegram has a nice article about Jeff’s comments before over 50 members and friends tonight.  You can read more by clicking here.

In addition, the Representative Paula Pierson campaign brought cake to celebrate Mid-Cities having won the Golden Shoe award from last weekend’s Super Walk.

A big thanks to those who came out tonight and to those of you who thanked our former President, Dorie Cranshaw, for her tremendous service to the Mid-Cities Democrats.

Candidate Forum a Success

On Monday night the Mid-Cities Democrats’ Colleyville, Grapevine, Southlake chapter held a non-partisan candidate forum for the Colleyville Mayoral, Grapevine City Council and GCISD Board municipal May races. The forum was moderated by the League of Women Voters.

It was the fourth year for the organization to hold a municipal candidate forum, paying expenses and providing volunteers for the event, knowing an informed electorate is the best electorate.

Ninety area residents attended and the event was covered by The Courier. Find the article here.
